The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see – I am bringing you good news of a great joy for all the people:  to you is born this day in the city of David a Savoir, who is the Messiah, the Lord.”
(Luke 2:10-11)

We all have a wonderful opportunity to be an angel for a child and their family this Christmas.  The South Yarmouth United Methodist Church will be supporting the Hands of Hope Outreach Center of the Cape Cod Council of Churches with Christmas gifts for children and youth in our community.

If you would like to be someone’s angel during this holy season, visit our “angel tree” and choose an angel tag from the tree. The tag will suggest a gift for an infant, child or teenager.  Take the tag home with you and purchase the gift suggested on the tag.  Bring the gift in any time on or before Sunday, December 15.  Simply place the gift, with its tag, under the tree.  Your gift does not need to be wrapped.

Leaders from the congregation will take all the gifts to the Council of Churches on Monday, December 16 in order to get them ready for their recipients.  Gifts of money are also welcome.  If you’d like to be an angel by giving a donation, checks can be made payable to the “Hands of Hope Outreach Center” and marked “Christmas Program.”
