Education

“Children of God!” Faith, Hope, & Love!

The South Yarmouth United Methodist Church is committed to Christian education.  We are a Safe Sanctuary church and pledge to conduct the ministry of the gospel in ways that assure the safety and spiritual growth of all our children and youth, as well as all of our volunteers with children and youth.

Sunday School

Come join the fun as we learn about God through an exciting new curriculum that includes crafts, cooking, science, music, stories, drama and puppets.

Can’t attend every week?  That’s okay!  Drop in when you can!  We begin by coming to the 10:00 a.m. service with our families.  After the scripture readings, Rev. Mueller has a special Children’s Time with us and then we go to our Sunday School classes.  Our curriculum is lectionary based, which means adults and children all hear the same scripture readings.  When the adults hear the sermon, we hear the same message in Sunday school through fun age-appropriate activities!

All ages are welcome – see you Sunday!

Youth Group

SYUMC is a special place for our amazing young people to gather in friendship and faith! We gather together in Christ… sharing moments of prayer, questioning, learning, creating, working, playing, laughing, giving, connecting, celebrating and loving. Come grow with us as we live out our faith in the life of the church, serving our loving God with joy from the heart! Please join us every Sunday morning on the second floor of the Parish Hall at 10 AM. You may contact our Youth Leader, Valerie Jansson, at syarmouthunitedmethodist@gmail.com.

Adult Bible Study

A variety of Bible study classes are offered periodically. Classes are generally scheduled on Wednesdays at noon and in the evening.
