Our Thrift Shop and Furniture Barn, open for the new season, are already off to a great start. If you would like to be part of this ministry of our congregation, please speak with either Connie Swedlund or Penny Bach. New volunteers are always welcome, especially to assist us in our popular Furniture Barn on Thursdays. In addition to providing high quality clothing, household items, and furniture at very reasonable prices for people in our community, all the proceeds go to support the ministry and mission or our church.
A special gift for the Thrift Shop
Longtime church member Jim Wick, before recently moving off-Cape, donated several of his amazing bird carvings to the Thrift Shop. When Jim retired and moved to the Cape in the early 1980’s, one of his first actions was to take up bird carving as a hobby, which he kept practicing for the next thirty years. To celebrate Cape Cod life, he specialized in shorebirds. After Jim’s donation of the unpainted carvings, Allan Broadhurst and Stanlee Wetzel took on the project of finishing these wonderful carvings. Allan has now sold many of the carvings to friends and collectors with the all proceeds coming to the Thrift Shop. A very special thank you to everyone!
From March 31st through April 10th , the Shop will be having a 50% off sale on all winter clothing, including coats, jackets, hats, shoes, scarves and handbags.
Currently the Shop is featuring a beautiful furniture set with couch, chair with ottoman, glass top coffee table and glass top end table for only $200! Stop in to check it out!
